A new week in a new sector
Well this week went pretty normally. I mean for being in a new sector and everything being new.
I"m writing so late because today was leadership council and we had to travel back. We just got back and are just writing our emails and then we will go back to the house. I liked the council a lot more than I normally do. I feel it was pretty productive.
So this week a member told me that she would make me some turkey for Thanksgiving. So I was excited. On Thanksgiving, she was not home. So i just ended up eating 3 breads from the store. Cost me 30 cents. Then on Friday she invited us over to eat. We got the food and I thought "This doesn't look like Turkey but it is a white meat." So I just said "thanks" and took a picture to remember the day I was supposed to have eaten turkey. It was fish.
Also we did service on Saturday. It was in the sector of the sisters. They had us come because we were going to be "moving sacks" and they didn't think it would be good for the sisters. But we didn't move sacks. We had a pic and a shovel and we dug a hole. Well it was already dug but we made it a bit deeper. But we didn't have gloves. My comps hands blistered bad but mine just got hot spots.
I had the sisters take pictures during the service but the only pictures they took were while it was Elder Galvises turn to dig. So i look lazy but it was just fine. I was working.
Then we had to hurry to our lunch and I ate crab for the first time here and it was sick(good).
Then we had a baptism of this cool little kid. His brother baptized him and his mom and sister were there too. Great family.
Overall I'm just pumped about the new video that the church is doing its called "He is the Gift". So great. It's also on christmas.mormon.org. I really enjoy it. We should all see it and share it with everyone that we can.

The beach
Well this week has been way diferent from the past weeks. Well really from all my mission. The only other time I was out of Guayaquil was starting my mission. So I guess its cool to be out of Guayaquil to finish. But it's really so different.
We went "runnning" on the beach the other day. But we are going to need to go more so that it goes better.
Also we had some cool animal experiences this week. Kittens and squirels here the highlight. But also we participated in a cat funeral.
We also played soccer today as a zone and it went pretty great. I didn't play very well but at least I had fun. I'm getting a lot better at not being competitive but just having fun and messing around.
The climate here is so different and I know that it's great. I am able to walk all day and I don't sweat all day like I did in Guayaquil. Even when the sun comes out, which it normally doesn't, the breeze keeps us cool and I feel a lot better. But I don't think it will help me to lose weight. My comp gained alot of weight here and he says I'm going to gain weight too. But so far I haven't seen much of that on my part. I just gotta remind myself to go running and that it's worth it to get up a bit earlier and run. But I'm excited to get some great photos on the beach.
Our sector is huge and the members are great. I just need to use them alot and it will help. We have all of Salinas and it's pretty freaking huge. We gotta plan better so that we can get more lessons in.

Let's go to the beach!
Alright so all this week I was expecting transfers. President had told me a couple weeks ago that he was thinking about it so I figured it would happen. So from Friday to Sunday I took some pictures with some members and investigators. It was kinda tough cause I wasn't sure that I was getting transferred so I didn't want to say a big good bye but I was pretty sure.
When I said good bye to my convert and her son, she started crying and tried to give me a hug. She said I'm always welcome in her home if I can ever come back and she was grateful that we could have taught her the gospel. It was great to see how converted she has come to be. She puts on Facebook things of the church and tells her family members about what she has learned.
We also were able to meet a older guy that is super great and super excited. He accepted a baptismal date super fast and is just super great. He came to church and loved it and his only challenge is his vision. He can't go to church alone cause he can't see but there are lots of members who can go with him.
But sadly I had to leave all of this behind. I got transferred today to Salina, Santa Elena. It's also called the Peninsula. It's the farthest west part of Ecuador (not counting Galapagos) It's all beach and it's got the ocean breeze. I'm excited to see what I can do here. Elder Mejia (my comp last year this time) was here over a year ago and I remember all the great things he told me about it. So I'm excited to be a part of it. The weather here is great and I'm excited to see about the people too. I'm trying to send a photo but the computer doesn't work great. If I cant send it I'm sorry.

PS my new comp is Elder Galvis from Colombia. He came on his mission pretty much the same time as me and we would be going home together but he will go home a bit early to start studying on time.
